One selection, one winner seems to be the order of the day
over the past week or so and DUSTLAND FAIRYTALE (advised at 4-1) provided
another name to the list on last night's Kempton Park card. Although I rarely
look at jockey bookings for methodical selections I must admit to being supremely
confident when SDS is in the plate.
Last night also provided another 'Pace and Going' snip in
the form of Grendisar but at the price and at Kempton Park it went un-backed
but fulfilled the same criteria that was so favourable on Saturday evening (Saturday's
Post)
The above makes Fever
Few 3:35 Ling, Volcanic Dust 5:40 Kemp, look tempting propositions and I am
chucking in Johnno 5:45 Ling, Give Way Nelson 8:10 Kemp to make up and EW
Yankee.
One thing that did raise the eyebrows yesterday came in
the 7:40 where the top four ALL came out reducing a 0-85 to a 0-80. Call me a
skeptic but I find this overwhelming bizarre! What are the chances on the All
Weather where non-runners are so few and are usually confined to the odd one or
two in a race, that four horses are pulled out? But not just any four horses. It
just happens to be the four top OR's in the race!
