Like buses all our winners come along together

Well, that was so much better and like buses all our winners come along together. We may have started Saturday with a feeling of de ja vu as a horse I felt very bullish about, Sexy Secret (opened 5-1) finished 2nd in Lingfield Parks 12:20.

After being backed down to an SP of 2-1, Sexy Secret turned for home looking very much like the winner only to be worn down by the deposed favourite Steventon Star. Any anxiety for the day ahead becoming a post hitting day was soon eradicated as 3 point selection Suitsus (opened 4-5), Big Baz (opened 11-4) Intransigent (opened 7-2) and Battalion (opened 6-1) took the top prizes in the 12:50, 1:25, 2:00 and 2:35 respectively.

There were no sexy prices among our winners but I did feel like it added some respectability to what had been a trying week.

Even in defeat we were given glimmers of hope by our other selections as Dark Side Dream (8-1) and Dianora (11-4) both looked like they had slipped their fields only to be collared late on at Wolverhampton.

A quieter week lies ahead with only 9 meetings and we reconvene here at 2:10 on Monday in a race where Clive Cox Mikandy takes on Gay Kelleway New Abbey Dancer, with the former most likely to appreciate the step up in trip on breeding and add to the 3o% three winners from his last ten runners for Cox.
