Whisky Bravo and Art Dzeko add above average class to the line-up
in Southwell’s 12:30 but I fear the trip of 7f will not play to their strengths
in the same way as it will for the unadventurous selection of BEACHWOOD BAY.
Dependant on how the class horses in the race fair will have a bearing on
whether All Right Now can land a place at a price which suggest it may be being
generally ignored.
Hail Shower looks the pick of the debutants in the 1:00 while
Imaginary World and EMPERATRIZ offer the best C&D form. EMPERATRIZ has been
beaten by narrow margins on two attempts over C&D and on both occasions by
horses with a 70 OR. With only the two unknown quantities of Hail Shower and
Absent Amy with OR’s that high, this may be the ideal opportunity for EMPERATRIZ
to make it third time lucky.
The 1:30 is a stab in the dark with little form recorded of
any note. Razin’ Hell has disappointed since putting up a reasonable effort. DANDYS PERIER looks to be heading in the right direction but has a little more
to do than when winning on its penultimate run over C&D. Genax looks the
pick of the debutants.
Although not a betting race for me I will be hoping that LA
ESTRELLA can continue its impeccable record here at Southwell in the 2:00. With
13 wins from 15 runs at the course, this trip has seen a 100% 3 out of 3.
With the standard of Southwell form on offer being so poor
in the 3:00 it is hard to imagine that one of the Southwell debutants Busy
Bimbo, Ishisoba or QUEEN’S PRINCESS are not capable of performing better than
those with form on the surface. Surprisingly the sire stats point to rank
outsider QUEENS PRINCESS at 33-1.
Enjoy your day J
