Going, Going, Gone!

Having prior knowledge of going conditions is one thing but being able to use the information in a productive way is a different ball game. Predicted testing going conditions at Wolverhampton and coming away without capitalising is disappointing.

Disappointing: Watching a 3 point 16-1 selection being collared on the line by a horse that seconds earlier was having its ears scrubbed off at the rear of the field is a painful experience. The race demonstrated perfectly the predicted testing conditions at Wolverhampton on Monday afternoon. Unfortunately on this occasion HONEY OF A KITTEN was denied the opportunity of boosting our already reasonable haul for September by 48 points in one swoop.

Adding insult to injury we suffered the same fate in the finale when selection MEN DONT CRY was overhauled by Amantius. The pair pulling 4.1/2 lengths clear of their nearest pursuer.

Although there was a subtle change towards standard it was noticeable that the majority of winners came from off the pace and the margins from front to back were more akin to Southwell.

Yesterdays experience I feel worthy of a day of rest on the All Weather and I can concentrate my efforts today on finding out who has hacked one of my email accounts!
