Monday's meeting at Southwell has been abandoned due to waterlogging. Clerk of the course Roderick Duncan was forced to call an impromptu 9.45am inspection on Sunday due to rising levels in several streams around the track.
That check showed parts of the track to be waterlogged and Duncan reports further issues in some of the racecourse buildings.
He said on Sunday morning: "We have abandoned - there are some parts of the track that are under four inches of water and there is water in the stable yard and it has started to come into the grandstand.
"There are several streams around the racecourse and one of those has gone over its banks.
"We are going to inspect tomorrow at 8am for Tuesday's meeting, but I have to say I am pessimistic at this stage. More rain is forecast and we will look in the morning."
