I don’t receive many requests to add additional information to what is already on offer but after a couple of
days of thought I decided in this case to relent.
The request was simply to add the number of runs that the C&D rating is referencing. This makes perfect sense and I
am sure that from a laying perspective layers would be happier playing a horse
that had consistently run poorly over C&D as opposed referencing a single race.

In the example above we
have the figures as published last night but going forward I will also be publishing the additional bracketed
figure denoting the number of runs over C&D.
In hindsight you may feel that
Fred Willetts would be a good lay proposition as the figures would suggest this
is not a favorable C&D.
Having looked at the trading prices you would have to be a
brave man unless you made the lay early and backed at SP but you get the idea.
I hope this will be beneficial to more than the individual
who made the request.
