A Fitting end to a year that exceeded expectations!

A fitting 100% end to 2012 with two out of two from the Lingfield Park card. 2 point selection Sherinn (Evens) got the ball rolling with a 2.1/4 length success, returning at an SP of 4-6.

The final race saw our second selection Storm Runner (15-8 15p rule 4) equal the feat of our previous selection with another 2.1/4 length success returning at 4-5.

Unfortunately even with our 7-1 winning selection from yesterday we just failed to pass the +400 point profit for the year. What we have done is set the bar high to beat or repeat the success in 2013. I am up for the challenge!

Opera At The Races!

British opera star Natasha Marsh is set to prick the ears of her most eclectic audience yet, a stable full of racehorses, who will be treated to unique operatic recitals, before competitive races.

The musical experiment is designed to motivate the horses competing in seven fixtures at Kempton Park Racecourse as part of its Best Of British Gala Night celebrations, an established event on the racing calendar that includes Scottish Pipes and Drums and a spectacular fireworks display.

The Surrey racecourse is not averse to staging unique musical recitals hosting the world's first horse race to a live musical soundtrack last July when the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra performed William Tell's Overture during a one mile three furlong race. At the time scientists credited the music with helping the horses run faster, and animal behavioural psychologists will also be on hand this year to judge whether there is a similar reaction to opera music.

Natasha Marsh will be performing live to race-goers as part of the entertainment with trainers given the option to play her music directly into their horse's stable.
