It was never going to be a day of great excitement on
Kempton Parks Sunday card and the initial optimism of finding some big priced
selections formed by the large fields was diminished on closer examination. Unlike Lingfield and Wolverhampton, large fields at Kempton Park are never a worry to me, boasting the longest All Weather straight and the cut away where they meet the inner loop leaves few excuses at the business end. The exception to this rule are the 5f and 10f races run on the inner loop. Closer examination left The Actuary All Weather Horse Racing Tips subscribers going
in to the meeting with only two modestly priced horses, a stark comparison to recent days.
Due to the antics of one of the two selections, Hoof It
refusing to enter the stalls in the 4:00, we were left with only one selection.
Why a horse with 30 races under rules should be so unruly will remain a mystery
but I saw enough pre-race to hope that it would take no part. Although, sympathetic
to those on Forest Edge who faced a large rule 4, it came as a relief that my wish
was granted with its withdraw.
Prior to the 4:00 we had found one of the most emphatic
winners of the day with our only selection that took part for subscribers in
The Ginger Berry which was available at 7-2 overnight. Although returning in a moderate
time, albeit faster than the earlier Div I, its 6 length victory could have
been so much more. I doubt we will get such generosity on its next outing.
We are a little busier today with four races of interest and
some nice prices on the Southwell and Wolverhampton cards.
Have a great day and remember each loser brings you nearer
to your next winner J
