Subscribers may a wee dent in bookies satchels yesterday when one of the two selections HEEZARARITY (6-4) took Wolverhamptons 6:40. We are a lot busier today! The one tentative selection put up on this page, Follow The Flag only beat the non-runner home with a woeful performance.
A few consideration outside of races with subscribers selections are as follows:
On my figures SPIRITUAL FLAME sets the bar reasonably high over this trip in the Lingfield Park opener. The danger in what has
become a 4 runner affair is the pace and usually held up SPIRITUAL FLAME may need
adopt different tactics to be seen in its best light.
Given that the contenders are a little short of Class 2 in
the Lingfield 1:00 and probably the fastest two horses Addictive Dream and
Alben Star are better over 6f this might fall the way of PICANSORT who has the
best and most recent form over 5f.
THE MONGOOSE seems to run hot and cold, but if on song today has to
be a major player in the 2:00. I have a question mark over the suitability of
the trip for Kakapuka and Dozy Joe at the top of the handicap and see this as a
marked step up for Barbados Bob. I would expect Athletic and Shauna's Spirit to
pose the biggest threat.
Although this is a step from its LTO win, KNOCKGRAFFON LAD
could land the 3:00 Lingfield Park Class 4 after several attempts in the class
over further. Reverting to this trip saw a change in fortunes and the time
would suggest it capable of notching up back to back wins.
What looks to be a motley bunch line up for the Kempton Park
4:20 and based upon the form on offer I would expect EX EX to come on
sufficiently from its first run to take this. This view is reflected in the
market with EX EX trading at 6-4.
In the 5:20 there is such a lack of recent distance form you
may be questioning the motives behind why some of these are turning out for the
contest. Only CELTIC CHARLIE has shown to put his best hoof forward over the
trip and at 12-1 is worth an interest.
LARGHETTO hasn't ripped up any trees since winning over this
trip at Wolverhampton in April but its last run heralded a return to a level of
form capable of taking the 6:50 Kempton Park. Relatively lightly raced when
compared to its main rivals West Leake, Multitask and One Last Dream could
prove to be clever placement by Mr Stimpson.
Good luck and enjoy your day :)
