A Friday Yankee for Lingfield Park and Wolverhampton

Although there were 4 top rated winners yesterday I was bemused by the runs of several horses and it wasn't until doing the days returns that it became apparent that after a period where times appeared to be getting back on track at Wolverhampton, once again we are back to extremely testing.

Yesterday’s post made a reasonable return with RUN IT TWICE and GIVE US A BELLE both scoring. CHATEAU LOLA also made the frame at 20-1.

Today, in Lingfield Parks 12:45 Hamoody has put in several above par efforts over this distance including two efforts at Lingfield Park off a similar rating. Pabusar makes a second appearance on the surface after a reasonable 6f effort at Kempton Park and has to be respected in this company. ELECTRIC QATAR finds itself 7lb lower than when having its only C&D run here back in February recording a time that should see it get the measure of this opposition.

C&D winner KAKATOSI (16-1) is a big price in the 3:05 for a horse with a 100% 1 out of 1 recorded around this time last year and if able to reproduced a run of that standard today will take all the catching.

The Lingfield finale at 3:35 looks like square pegs in round holes with the exception of Perfect Delight and MAISON BRILLET. The latter appears to have the edge over this C&D and jockey.

A moderate bunch turn out for Wolverhampton's 4:30 and it will be interesting to see if there is any market support for Slipper Satin who had a strange introduction to life across the Irish Sea with a spin over 2 miles over obstacles on heavy ground after being raced and winning over half that trip. I am sure that today’s drop back to 1 mile 4 furlongs on this surface will be a more pleasurable experience for it. AKDAM looks to set the standard from the limited form available and is the worthy favourite.

Good luck :)
