No sexy prices yesterday but a 100% from our two selections
with NICKELS AND DIMES surprisingly returning at odds against but boy did he
have to work for it, followed by KIMBALI (adv 5-1) who was pulled out of a race
on Saturday which I thought looked an easier proposition than the task
yesterday. Again we were left sweating a wee bit as it fell out of the stalls before
making stealthy ground on the bridle around the outside of the field. As they
turned for home we had to sweat it out as the leader, Barbados Bob took KIMBALI’s
ground causing George Baker to lose some impetus in switching as he delivered his challenge.
DANZOE advised on the page yesterday was also a welcome
winner having taken 12-1 and returned a very skinny 9-2. STEELCUT also advised on
the page was helped little by his jockey Martyn Dwyer falling asleep in the
stalls and could only manage a poor second.
Falling out the stalls appeared to be the order of the day yesterday as STEELCUT was given a mountain to climb and finished second, NICKELS AND DIMES had to be rousted along from the outset before finally grinding down rivals and KIMBALI who came from last to first. NICKELS AND DIMES went out to 7.4 on the exchanges and KIMBALI went to a massive 34's !
Although we have two meetings today I am hard pressed to
find anything of real interest outside of the subscriber’s selections.
Inffranesia would be of interest at a better price in the
4:20 at Wolverhampton and I see this as a step up from what it has previously
achieved. Mr Chocolate Drop and Bertie Blu Boy may well belie their respective
odds in the 6:20 for places but their inconsistency stops me from placing my
money.
Enjoy your day and I hope its kind to you J
