The more distance I put between me and yesterday the happier I will feel! The optimism before the start of play was soon lost in a series of failures which included Tinshu, who started in a prominent position only to find itself almost at the rear of the field turning in before flashing home beaten 2 lengths. To rub salt in to that wound, my top rated Spirit Of The Law wins the race at 14-1.
Proper Charlie comes in to the shortest of All Weather straights 2 lengths clear and cantering while the remainder are under the pump only to realise Paige Bolton is going to offer nothing in the finish and in a Super Duplex type ride remains clinging on for her life while all around her are galvanising their mounts in the finish.
Bobs Her Uncle is beaten in to second by the 33-1 rag.
Mr Lando backed from 10-1 down to 10-3 gets the Jimmy Quinn ‘I’ll make it look like I tried’ ride using the horse up prematurely mid race.
While the day unravelled before my eyes I watched top rated Spirit Of The Law 14-1, Aussie Reigns 8-1, Lancelot Du Lac 5-4, Boris The Bold 14-1, Cottrell 4-1 and star rated Mosman Park 20-1 win their respective races. The ghost of yesterday will take some exorcizing L
Kempton Park offers a less than inspiring card this evening but we do see the reappearance of Tee It Up Tommo in the 18:35. Likely to be very short but will find Kempton Parks longer straight to its advantage given the trouble it gets in to and the finishing style. Welsh Sunrise offers respectful opposition after being touched of by Araqella last time out over C&D. Prescott’s Handicap debutant goes up in trip after racing over 6f on its previous two starts and market support may give away the intent.
We are yet to see the full ability of Interception in the 7:05 and this is a step up from its two very comfortable wins. Dominium may be the horse to apply the pressure.
Good luck to all ;)
