With no serious interests in either of today’s two All Weather races on the Lingfield Park card I was drawn to the Lady Amateur
Handicap and one horse in particular.
The horse has obviously had its problems having been off the
track since 2011 but my internet search threw up nothing to assist in the
reasons why, unlike my search for Lady Amateur!
If Alistair Lidderdale has KILBURN fit and ready to go, its
2011 form is far superior to anything else in the race. When last seen at Lingfield KILBURN was competitive in a 5K Class 3 0-95 Handicap off a mark of 80 going
down ¾ length to Hazzard County.
Competing today in what is affectively a 0-70 Class 5, if
the form line was recent you would think KILBURN a point and shoot. At 20-1
(Betfair) and a form line from 2011 in an Amateur Ladies race I think this is a
gamble I’m prepared to take.
