Not a lot takes the eye at Kempton Park today until the main event at 4:20 where I would like to make a case for one at a big price RONINSKI who is never far away in this grade come the finish. Although its recent win to run ratio is poor, its distance beaten would suggest it will make the frame at a nice price. The only horse in the field with a Lincoln entry, I can’t pretend am not concerned that this outing might in preparation for 5 days time where it currently trades at 33-1.
Excusing its last two runs, last time out at Southwell (wrong surface) and over course C&D in its penultimate run where it ran to freely and was pitched in too high LUCKY MARK looks an attractive proposition at 14-1 in the 5:20. Its race prior to the above saw a C&D victory making all and running on strongly.
Switching attention to Wolverhampton and the 3:00, IMO there is something very desirable about a horse that can lead, be passed and fight back to regain the lead. HAVERSTOCK managed this feat last time out over 10f and although the run still ended in defeat, the proximity of yesterdays winner Poetic Verse gives the run another perspective.
There is no surprise to see early market support for NADEMA ROSE in the 5:00. A lightly raced 4yo in amongst some relatively exposed horses. The surprise is the trip which appears out of scope on breeding but is also entered up at Doncaster over the trip.
I not sure what to make of the 5:30 or even whether I should be looking at the race but the pair from Jonjo O’Neill catch the eye. No doubt Street Artist will be favourite on breeding (Street Cry) but would rather stay clear of Mark Johnston horses’ first time out and the O’Neill pair KEEP KICKING \ MICKLESON are at prices where you could take both.
Good Luck
