The Actuary All Weather Horse Race Tips Lingfield Park and Wolverhampton preview

The selections below are not selections set out to subscribers but other considerations

With a card of small fields at Lingfield Park today and with a question mark in most races as to who will be the likely pace you are going have take it on trust that there will be something willing to do the dirty work. Coupled with small fields are small prices so there is little value from a betting perspective.

You can never tell with Richard Hannons scattered gun approach to placing his horses whether they are there to win or are in preparation for something better. Although SUBLIMATION is going to be skinny price I would not bet against it taking the Lingfield Park opener at 13:55.

At the prices MIRTH looks the value bet in Lingfield 2:30 with a much improved performance last time out when stepped up to today’s trip before being tapped for toe in the closing stages beaten 1.1/4 lengths. I am hopeful Joe Fanning will set a stronger pace than the pedestrian pace set by MIRTH on that occasion. Let’s hope it’s no mirth and mayhem!

Lingfields 3:45 looks very much like a matchup between SENNOKIAN STAR and Raging Bear and although the latter was slow away last time out so did well to be a never nearer second I am more taken by the gutsy determination show by SENNOKIAN STAR last time out. Making the pace in a five horse race the selection was able to repel all but the progressive King George River.

The form from the last time out of Nellie Bly was let down by Star Of Rohm earlier in the week, albeit on a different surface and the run didn’t suggest to me that a step up to 7f was a favourable move. I was more taken by the performance of LAUDATION who faltered a little in the straight before staying on again over today’s trip.
