Little cause for concern with the first ‘Pace and Going’ selection Invincible Warrior available at 10-11 this morning and the margin and ease of victory made the price look like theft. We were not so lucky with our 7-1 second selection who lived up to that billing after making the pace but was unable to repel the challenge of Sword In Hand. The final and third selection Mountain Range simply was not good enough. Eddie Ahern picked through horses to bring his mount prominent coming down the straight but was unable to sustain the momentum.
6:15 Theresnoneedfordat has already been a winning selection for us and I can see nothing in the race likely to interfere with it showing the same supremacy.
6:45 Hardy Blue is going from strength to strength and the step up to 6 furlongs should hold no fears on breeding.
7:15 Wordsaplenty only just caught in the last 50 yards last time out by what looked to be a smart newcomer and planned gamble Mick Duggan.
7:45 Raheeba can’t do 8f, can’t do 10f but has 2 from 2 over 9f and last time out showed a relish for the surface.
8:45 Totalize returning to an artificial surface after a promising debut earlier in the month plus the second last time out over the trip at Bath look a favourable combination.
9:15 Azrag is an unfortunate name for a horse that in its penultimate run ‘forged ahead close home’ in the words of Racing Post, to win by a nose J and then proved to be equally as good when just failing over 2 miles.
Good Luck
