After yesterdays maintaining the status quo for subscribers to The Actuary Horse Racing Tips we headed to Kempton Park with three races of interest.
First up 19:50 Safarjal, after looking to be one of the chief protagonists at halfway, found nothing and faded to a distant last under Paul Hannigan.
We went in to the 20:20 double handed with Encircled advised at 16-1 and a late change when Uphold was taken out to Sir Boss advised mid afternoon at 14-1. Encircled looked like taking a hand as it was brought to prominence as they rounded the home bend only to falter and give us our second last of the evening. Sir Boss took up the running in the final furlong but was collared 1/2 a furlong from home by the subsequent winner St. Ignatius.
De ja vu as we head in to the last race with expectation falling on 3 point selection Triple Charm advised at 7-2.
Frankie Dettori comes from last to first easing down on Triple Charm
Triple Charm sat at the back of the pack for the best part of the 12 furlongs and Frankie looked to be undecided as to when and where to mount a challenge. With the greatest respect to Frankie, he is not the jockey that I feel confident has the strength to take a horse from back to front at Kempton Park. Initially looked to be attempting to edge wide and then ducked back in to come through the pack as they came in to the straight. Triple Charm had to check slightly as a gap looked to be closing and as the gap re-appeared Frankie drove through and with a Fallonesque drive found himself in front and easing down at the line.
In Summary 10.5 points won, 5 points lost leaving us 5.5 points up on the night and with closure on August tomorrow, another healthy monthly profit.
See you at Wolverhampton tomorrow :)
