Exposed Zenaat 7-1 makes a profitable day for The Actuary

With little to get our teeth in to in the first two races at Lingfield Park, the first selection of the day for subscribers was the 3:10 in the form of Zenaat. Much like the first two races there was very little in the way of All Weather form to paint a picture of how the race might unfold but having watched a re-run of Zenaat's previous race felt rather smug that the race unfolded pretty much as I expected.

Ryan Moore rides second winner of six on the day oboard Zenaat at Lingfield Park

Ryan Moore got the perfect sit over Lingfields 1 mile and 1/2 and as the 2-5 fav and long time leader Mashaari came under the Paul Hanagan pump, Zenaat just kept on galloping. Cottesmore took up the running coming in to the straight. Zenaat just kept on galloping and went by half a furlong out. I don't think there was ever a burst of finishing speed from the selection. Zenaat was simply able to maintain the same relentless gallop as the others flagged. Returning at 7-1 guaranting The Actuary Horse Racing Tips subscribers a profit for the day with 3 selections still to run.

After side stepping the 3:40 the next race of interest 4:10 saw two selections in Holly Martins and Ukranian. Well, this is where the crystal ball appeared broken. If I was to be certain of anything on the day it would be Holly Martins and Ukranian bowling along clear of the field with the remainder sure that they would come back to them, but one would maintain the advantage to the line.

No, completely wrong. Holly Martins led but was pursued throughout by Regal Aura and was never more than two lengths ahead before fading tamely finishing out of the places. Our 2 point selection Ukranian, backed from 10-1 down to 9-2 made no show at all.

The final selection Blueberry Fizz in the next was done for after breaking slowly. Not something you can afford to do over 5 furlong at Lingfield.

In summary, not a pretty win to runners ratio of 20% but you cant bank ratios, you can bank the days 3 point profit :)
