A current trend worth noting at Kempton Park is the lack of horse coming off the pace. Here is a breakdown of last night’s races seen through my eyes.
Sand Skier leading on the turn in to the straight under Nicole Nordblad
Sand Skier prominent duelling for first throughout and turned in to the straight leading
Silent Moment turns in 2 lengths clear under DeSousa
Silent Moment made all
Counsel (black cap) turns for home in third
Counsel although held up initial was prominent and a close up third as they turned for home
Mizwaaj in the Godolphin Blue stalks the leader as they turn for home

Discernable (Green and Red cap) makes all
Discernable made all
Reileys Daughter third on the rail turning for home

Reileys Daughter travelled prominently throughout and was third turning in to the straight
Desert Philospher leads them in to the straight

The results from last night appear not to be draw dependent with horses winning from as wide as 14 and 9 but it would suggest it would be prudent not to back hold up horses on the track at present!
