Having top rated four of the the six winners at Southwell today with SP's of 6-1, 10-1, 11-4 and 10-3 one would think that my betting accounts would be bulging with the fresh haul. Unfortunately my focus was with other runners and Mehendi 2nd at 14-1 was as good as it got.
The low point being Lucky Punt who usually gallops his rivals in to submission by the time they turn for home, found nothing when coming off the bridle in the straight.
Best performance relative to Class and Age for me was Sir Pitt in the last, who I believe won very cosily in a good time.
I will be back with you over the weekend when I publish my speed figures for the Monday 10th May Wolverhampton meeting. Good luck to all those playing on the turf and National Hunt.
