A King, A Jack, but no Queens at Lingfield Park

No questions asked as The Actuary goes green at Lingfield Park!

What a great day The Actuary Horse Racing Tips had at Lingfield Park yesterday on both surfaces, and not one email inquiring why an All Weather tipping service had advised a 2 point selection of Kings Masque which was running on the turf!

The decision to publish figures for every race when Lingfield have a mixed card has only recently been taken and result have made me comfortable enough to add the odd turf selection into the mix. After the last mixed card threw up Lady Gibraltar which duly obliged at 14-1 I felt that it should be sooner rather than later.

Although Kings Masque returned at 9-2, It was available at above 16-1 which was the price I took around 8:30 but with a hefty Rule 4 was easier to stomach than than watching the race!

Although Kings Masque was the only turf selection that went out to subscribers, The Actuary also top rated the first three turf winners at Lingfield Park with Arte Del Calcio SP 9-2, Eightfold SP 7-2 both winning before King Masque SP 9-2 took the third. Dew Reward SP 10-1 was not so hard to find in the 4:00 with a course and distance rating well superior to its adversaries.

Things continued in a similar vein as we switched to the sand with top rated Stupenda SP 11-1 winning the 5:00. And the pièce de résistance was 3 point selection Jack Of Diamonds available at 6-4 taking the Lingfield finale.

When you have had a large bet, seeing the horses line up for a standing start with no stalls in a 6 furlong sprint is a little unnerving. Fortunately everything went to plan and Richard Hughes was able to get Jack Of Diamonds in to a good position stalking the two leaders. Ginger Monkey was the only horse able to mount a challenge as they drove for home with Jack of Diamonds prevailing by 1,1/4 lengths. No doubt Ginger Monkey will have his day in this company having pulled 4 lengths clear of third.

Adrian Nicholls is the Daddy at Southwell

The results from yesterday would suggest that The Actuary Horse Racing Tips has had a fantastic day with 5 top rated winners, four coming from the afternoon card at Wolverhampton: Marinus SP 3-1, Restless Bay SP 5-2, Aciano SP 9-2, Fayr Fall SP 9-2 and one from the Southwell card Daddy Warbucks SP 7-4. The reality was, we just squeezed a profit courtesy of Daddy Warbucks.

With four of seven selections down, focus was on 3 points selection Daddy Warbucks available at 11-4 which I had gladly taken on the opening show only to see a scattering of 3-1 mid morning. Daddy Warbucks led from pillar to post with only Smart Affair, who had been under the pump from Luke Morris for the best part of 4 furlongs able to offer a challenge. Adrian Nicholls managed to maintain a slight advantage as they drove for the line almost side by side to score by half a length and to provide us with a very small profit at the end of play.

  

      

You don't need ESP to beat BSP

A couple of weeks ago The Actuary Horse Racing Tips was contacted by a betting revue/promotion website looking for an All Weather string to their bow. After a bit of email ping-pong where I explained the fundamentals of what I do and they explained what they want agreement was made to proof 'Speed and Class' selections.

The first email went out to them on 20th June and although results have not been fantastic we have had some nice price winners. I was feeling moderately pleased with how things were going until I received an email yesterday with a spreadsheet attached asking me to confirm our current standing.

I checked through and all the winners were there, all the losers were there, but they had chosen to arrive at a profit and loss using BSP (Betfair SP to the uninitiated) arriving at a profit of 714.00 to 100 point stakes. When compared with my factual profit of 1288.00 this is a discrepancy of 574.00 in 14 days!

At the outset of my communication I had made it quiet clear one of the major advantages for The Actuary subscribers is having selections sent out the evening before each All Weather meeting allowing us to get opening shows. This brings home to me once again how important taking those early prices with BOG bookmakers is and how the profit and loss is magnified dependent on your stakes.

I will continue with the proofing but it is apparent these guys are reviewing what they can provide with my service and not the service I am providing!

The jockey, who was banned for 12 years by the BHA for not riding mounts on their merits and his involvement with disgraced owners Maurice Sines and James Crickmore, performed the Frankie Dettori-style celebration after riding a double at his local 'Flapping' meeting at Hawick last month.
The BHA ban stops Fairley riding at official race meetings run under rules but he is free to ride on the unlicensed circuit where prizes are a few hundred pounds – something his father Andrew also continues to do.

Fairley, who was sentenced in his absence after failing to answer the BHA charges last year, walked away from a prized job with top trainer Johnston and returned to his native Scotland where he is believed to have been working as a Tree Surgeon.

It seems an age since the last All Weather meeting at Southwell but Tuesday see's an All Weather double header with Wolverhampton in the afternoon and the rare event of a Southwell evening fixture.

Muntasir shows both 'Speed and Class'

The Actuary Horse Racing Tips 'Speed and Class' selection Muntasir showed both qualities in Kemptons 18:50. Advised overnight and opening at 2-1, Muntasir was easier to find than The Actuary 3 point winner Flashbang providing 24 points profit in the opening race.

In a race very few got in to, the opening show of 2-1 looked ridiculously generous as Frankie Dettori came inside the final furlong. After William Buick had set a pace more akin to a 1 mile race in the early stages on Regal Aura and then attempted to stack them up behind but found himself several lengths adrift in a matter of strides as Muntasir who had always looked to be needing a step up to this trip swept by.

Pat Dobbs on Galleon would be a horse to take out of the race closing down the winner all the way to the line.

      

Flashbang Wallop and 24 points profit in the first

The Actuary Horse Racing Tips subscribers are off to an excellent start on what could be a big night at Kempton Park this evening. 3 point selection Flashbang advised at 8-1 took the 5:50 Win Big With Betdaq Multiples Apprentice Handicap Cl5 6f under a excellent ride by Ashley Morgan.

Put the words Apprentice and Handicap together and you may feel that this is a race type to avoid. The Actuary view is, these guys all want to showcase their riding skills and the results and form prove to show a greater deal of consistency and profit than you would imagine. With recent Kempton results suggesting a need to be prominent Ashley Morgan gave Flashbang a text book ride and proved to be stronger in the finish to fellow apprentices Ian Burns on Speightowns Kid and Bradley Bosley on Blueberry Fizz. Just for a fleeting moment as Ashley past the post he looked more attractive than Leon Mayor :)
